I got chosen for an ONGC scholarship, but I haven’t received the first payment yet. What should be my next step?

This question was asked by Rupam Roy to seek guidance regarding their ONGC scholarship, as they haven't received the initial installment yet.

If you have been selected for an ONGC scholarship and are awaiting your first installment, there are several steps you can take. Firstly, it’s important to note that scholarship winners are often announced within three months of the application deadline. The process of reviewing applications usually begins once the deadline has passed, and a winner is typically chosen within three months of this date.

If you’ve won, the scholarship provider will contact you via the phone number or email address you provided in your application. They will explain how you will receive your scholarship prize money. If you haven’t heard anything yet, it may be because this process is still ongoing.

Keep in mind that the last date to apply for the ONGC scholarship scheme 2023-24 is November 30, 2023. If you applied close to this deadline, it might take a bit longer for the process to be completed. Patience is key, but don’t hesitate to seek clarification if you’re unsure about anything.

However, if you believe there has been an undue delay, you should reach out to the ONGC scholarship office directly. You can do this through their official website, where you can find options to chat, apply for scholarships, fellowships, and competitions, or log into your account if you’re already registered.

Remember to have all your relevant documents at hand when you make contact. These include your caste certificate, age proof, class XII mark sheets (for BE and MBBS students), graduation mark sheets (for MBA and geology/geophysics master’s students), annual income certificate from authorized authorities, bank details, and a copy of your PAN card.
