This program is designed to prepare early-career professionals for a career in this field, particularly focusing on the development of cloud-based applications.

The curriculum at Bow Valley College is structured to provide learners with a thorough understanding of cloud application requirements. It also equips them with the knowledge to develop specification and design architecture. As part of the program, learners will create an implementation plan complete with security and governance policies before implementing and deploying the Cloud application. At each stage, learners will write industry-standard documentation and verify with stakeholders at critical milestones. The program culminates in a work-integrated learning opportunity to assess the learning competencies gained through the program.

Admission requirements include completion of a diploma or degree in Information Technologies, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Management Information Systems, or equivalent. English language proficiency is also required, with several options available to demonstrate this, including an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum band score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 83.

In addition to the formal education, there are several online courses that can supplement your learning, such as ‘Introduction to Cloud Computing on Amazon AWS for Beginners’ on Udemy, ‘Introduction to Cloud Computing’ on Coursera and Computer Engineering courses from Harvard University. These courses can provide additional insights and practical knowledge in cloud computing.
